The year was 1986 and Fuzzy wins both the pro-am and pro portions of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The moment and quote of the tournament was when Zoeller stepped to the tee at the famous par-3 16th of the Cypress Course. The wind was howling and blowing directly into the faces of the players on the 223-yard hole, making it play almost like a par-4. Most players were laying up with irons. Not Fuzzy. As he drew a wood from his bag his gallery erupted. " I didn't come here to lay up," Zoeller told the ever increasingly loud gallery. "If I lay up I feel like I cheated myself." Fuzzy struck the ball well, landed it on the fringe and went on to record par, winning the tournament by 5 strokes. We'll raise a glass to that!
